Fellow in the University Writing Program at The George Washington
University. She holds a doctorate in Folklore and American Studies
from Indiana University and is a Teacher Consultant with the
Northern Virginia Writing Project, one of the nation’s top professional development programs for writing teachers.

If you Googled
Robbin, you’d find out about the books and articles she’s written, the conferences she’s produced, and the companies she’s founded. But you wouldn’t learn that:
- She once spent
three days at a temp job proofreading the telephone book
- Taught
writing in Siberia
- And…she sold a pair of Levis jeans to Ralph Lauren
