An Overview of UDL in the Writing Classroom
The first session will present the new teaching paradigm of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and demonstrate how it can be used to enhance the learning experiences of all students in the writing classroom.
A Case Study
The final presentation will address applying UDL principles to developing and designing paper assignment instructions. Specifically, this presentation will focus on an annotated bibliography assignment in a first-year writing course that employed UDL principles and how the students responded to the experience.
